Use:
- 2,4,6-Trimethyldiphenyl sulfide is often used as an intermediate in organic synthesis;

Preparation Method:
- 2,4,6-Trimethyldiphenyl sulfide can be obtained by reacting diphenylthiol with a methylating agent, and the reaction is usually carried out under alkaline conditions.
